We exist to help equip leaders to grow and develop to a height they may have never imagined. We nourish the roots, that act as the foundation, of the leadership tree that will only grow with intentionality. The deeper the roots go the taller the tree can grow.

J.R. Briggs

J.R. Briggs received his Masters of Missional Theology degree at Biblical Theological Seminary and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree at Biblical, writing his doctoral thesis on how question-asking in leadership can advance God’s mission. He is an adjunct professor at Biblical Seminary and guest instructor at Friends University, specifically with the Apprentice Institute.

He also serves as the Director of Leadership & Congregational Formation for The Ecclesia Network and National Trainer & Equipper for Fresh Expressions U.S. He is an author, co-author and contributor of nine books that seek to equip kingdom leaders.

In 2011, in an effort to grow fruit on other people’s trees, J.R. started Kairos Partnerships to partner with and equip hungry kingdom leaders to help them steward kairos moments of life, leadership and ministry. His role with Kairos Partnerships is expressed through coaching, consulting, speaking, teaching, equipping and writing, serving a wide variety of leaders, pastors, churches, non-profits, ministries, companies and denominations. Over the past several years, he has invested in kingdom leaders in over 23 states from over 40 different denominations.

In addition to starting Kairos Partnerships, he planted The Renew Community, a Jesus-centered congregation for the hungry and the hurting in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Over the past 15 years, he’s served in mega-churches, church plants and house church networks.

J.R. and his wife Megan have been married for over 16 years and have two sons, Carter and Bennett, and live in Lansdale, PA.


Scott Hackman

 Scott started his career as a youth and family minister, providing individual and youth counsel.  After 5 years in the field, he went back to school to get his Masters of Congregational Leadership from Eastern Mennonite University. He focused his studies on resiliency in the workplace and faith communities, doing a final project on mission-driven entrepreneurs. Within the process, Scott’s family started One Village Coffee. Through customer connections, Scott enhanced a unique skill to identify their needs and goals, so they could take the next step in growing their business. People continually reached out to Scott for coaching and he began advising business owners on their brand and strategy. For the past 6 years, Scott has served as a family business advisor and leadership coach at Delaware Valley Family Business Center. He has facilitated partner meetings, board meetings, management teams, siblings, couples, and professional peer groups.  Scott listened to people across generations, building bridges and moving people towards alignment in their decision making for the betterment of the organization. He has interest in helping people understand their patterns and overcome challenges, so they can achieve their goals. Scott has been trained in Peter Block Methods, Brene Brown’s Vulnerability & Shame Resiliency, STAR (Strategies for Trauma and Resiliency), and Bowen Family Systems.  Scott is also a Certified Family Business Advisor through Family Firm Institute. From facilitating groups for the past 18 years, his biggest passion is to create learning environments for people to grow through change. At Scott Hackman Ventures, Scott works with individuals for personal leadership growth, groups for team & peer learning, and businesses for talent development & strategy.
